I’ve had a busy week schmoozing and networking, drinking the odd glass of champagne and eating a few canapes!

Textiles Scotland (http://www.textilescotland.com/) run a trend forecasting event twice a year. It’s a great day out and a good way to meet people involved in the world of fashion. Tuesday’s event was looking at Autumn Winter 2012/13. Expect to see lots of tweeds, knits and prints on the catwalk with strong colour and touches of Art Deco. We shall see if the predictions come true (they usually do!)

Chelsea Flower Show

London

London living is not everyone’s cup of tea but I loved every minute of it when I stayed there. I especially love this week of the year when the Chelsea Flower Show (http://www.rhs.org.uk/) opens it’s doors and allows us mere mortals to wonder at the beauty of Mother Nature. Of course she has a wee helping hand from all the wonderful gardeners and every year the dispays become even more spectacular.

Scottish Fashion Awards

With just over 4 weeks left till the Scottish Fashion Awards (http://www.scottishfashionawards.com/), did I tell you I was nominated for Scottish Accessory Designer of the Year?!!!!!, my thoughts are turning to ‘WHAT WILL I WEAR’. Considering I have a wardrobe bursting with about 200 frocks I can’t seem to find anything suitable! Friends have offered to lend me items but seeing as this is a very special occasion I am going to treat myself to something fabulous! Now where does a fanatical vintage girl go in Glasgow to find a fabulous vintage dress? Luckily I know the answer!

The Royal Wedding

William and Kate

Have spent today glued to the TV set watching the Royal Wedding! I thought the bride looked absolutely divine in her Alexander McQueen dress and her tiara and veil were the perfect accessories. The different array of hats was outstanding and I’ll be looking out for some pictures in the press in the next few days so I can get a closer look at who wore what!
